Weekly review mode & faster offline sync.

A long-requested mode that surfaces the questions you've been wrong about most recently, plus the offline sync rewrite that was overdue. No new chapters in this release — the question pool itself is unchanged.

New Weekly review — a new home-screen tile that surfaces your eight most-recent wrong answers from the week. Tap to spaced-rep them. Opt-in, off by default.
New Quiet morning mode — a 15-minute calm session for the day of the test. No streaks, no scoreboards, only review.
Improved Offline sync rewritten from the ground up — first sync after install is now ~3× faster on slow trains north of Sundsvall (which is where we noticed).
Improved Arabic typography rebuilt — proper kashida justification and ligature handling. Thanks to R. Hammad for the patch.
Fixed Question 318 (motorway entry / yield) had the wrong correct answer flagged in Tigrinya. Corrected and re-scored for affected users.
Fixed Dark mode on iOS no longer flashes white during the initial splash on cold launch.
Removed Daily streak counter removed entirely (was opt-in since v2.0). Internal A/B showed it pushed people to over-study. Post-mortem on the blog ↗

Patch release: iCloud sync conflicts and a tablet layout fix.

Fixed iCloud sync conflict when switching between two iOS devices in a row no longer wipes the local question history.
Fixed iPad landscape layout no longer crops the chapter list on the right.
Security Updated libsodium to 1.0.20 (CVE-2025-XXXXX, low severity).

Two new languages: Tigrinya & Dari.

In partnership with Sveriges Stadsmissioner and three local refugee-aid groups. Both languages required a full re-edit of the question pool rather than machine translation — translation took 11 weeks.

New Tigrinya question pool, 823 items, voice-over included.
New Dari question pool, 823 items, voice-over included.
Improved Language picker now sorts by script, then by name. Makes Pashto / Dari / Persian easier to tell apart at a glance.
Fixed Right-to-left bug in the "wrong answers" card where the explanation overlapped the question header.
12 languages total 11 weeks of translation 3 NGOs reviewed

The big quiet release.

One year on from v1.0. The schedule, the question explanations, and the way we measure progress are all new. No new features by count — but most of what's on screen is reworked.

New Adaptive scheduling rewritten on the simplified curve described in our spaced-repetition essay ↗.
New Every wrong answer now opens with a 2–3 sentence explanation written by an examiner, not generated.
New iCloud / Google Drive sync, opt-in. End-to-end encrypted with your device passcode.
Improved Progress view rewritten — shows readiness instead of percent completed. We think this is a better signal.
Removed Public leaderboards, deleted entirely. They didn't help anyone pass.

Bug fixes & small mercies.

Fixed Notification permission prompt no longer appears on the very first launch. (You shouldn't have to opt out of being asked.)
Fixed Quiz timer drifted by ~2 seconds per minute on older Androids. Now exact.
Improved Haptic feedback on correct answers is gentler. We had it set one notch too aggressive.

New /press/ with a downloadable kit, fact sheet, and a single inbox for journalists.
New /about/, /contact/, and this changelog get their own pages, no longer hidden under the homepage anchors.
Improved Shared stylesheet across all subpages — the studio is now visually consistent end-to-end.
